We operate the last independent abattoir in Bedfordshire, which is located on our farm;  this enables us to process our own livestock and ensures full traceability of our products.


The cattle and sheep we produce are handled at the abattoir by the stock persons who attend to them throughout their lives. Consequently, by not travelling long journeys or being handled by strangers our animals are not stressed at all.  This in turn, stops the flow of adrenalin in the animals and therefore produces a higher quality meat.


Due to this facility we can hang our carcasses for as long as we require in order to provide meat with exceptional taste and flavour.


All slaughtering and dressing is undertaken compassionately and humanely by the family and staff who have been fully trained and licensed.


SLAUGHTER SERVICE

We offer a private slaughter service for butchers, farmers and small holders for OTM and UTM Cattle, Pigs, (MUST BE UNDER 100kgs DEADWEIGHT) Sheep, Lambs and Goats.

We offer a private slaughter and cut service for butchers, farmers and small holders for pigs, (MUST BE UNDER 100kgs DEADWEIGHT) Sheep, Lambs and Goats No animals are accepted on the premises unless they are healthy, clean, properly tagged and accompanied with the proper documentation (paper copies required, including the Online Pig movement licence)

NOTE: ANY COMMUNICATIONS WE RECEIVE THAT ARE ABUSIVE, MALICIOUS, DEFAMATORY, OR THREATENING IN NATURE, WILL BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO THE POLICE.  IN THE CASE OF TELEPHONE CALLS, WE WILL CONTACT BT IMMEDIATELY TO TRACE THE CALLER.  IN THE CASE OF E-MAILS, WE WILL CONTACT THE SENDER’S ISP (INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER) IMMEDIATELY.
